The Tough series of cameras are designed to be rugged and durable. Waterproof to a depth of 15 meters the camera is well suited to use in watersports. If you are SCUBA diving or free diving we recommend that you invest in one of the compatible Dive Housings for the TG-7 which allow you dive deeper, improve the ergonomics and allow you to add essential underwater photography accessories.

One of the easiest cameras for underwater photography the TG-7 has 5 pre-set underwater modes which are great for when you are first getting into underwater photography. The pre-set modes take care of the more complicated settings so that you can focus on buoyancy and composition.

As your underwater photography skill develop the TG-7 continues to support you letting you take more control over settings that will allow you to improve your underwater photography. All of the dive housings that we supply allow you to attach wet lenses, necessary for wide-angle photography; trays and handles which give you a better grip and provide mounting points for underwater strobes. The TG-7 really excels at underwater macro with its advanced macro features letting you get incredibly close to small subjects to capture fantastic detail without the need for multiple close-up diopters.

Peace Of Mind

Waterproof to 15 meters

Shooting around water is not a worry with the TG-7 and its built in water proofing to as deep as 15 meters and dedicated underwater modes.

For SCUBA divers and many freedivers 15 meters is not deep enough so we recommend the addition of a proper Dive housing which will be much easier to operate and it more practical in the water. But that 15 meter waterproofing still gives you peace of mind should there be an accident with the housing.

Recommended Housings for the OM Systems TG-7

The TG-7 is only waterproof to 15 meters which is great if you are shooting around water but if you are SCUBA diving or freediving you will need a proper Underwater Housing to go deeper. The Housing will also be much more ergonomical in the water and provides mounting points to add wet lenses, underwater strobe lights and handles.

OM-System's own housing for the TG-7 is simple but effective. Waterproof to a depth of 45 meters, more than enough for recreational SCUBA diving it gives you accesso to all the key controls with simple push through buttons. An M52 thread on the front port allows you to screw in a suitable AOI wet lens or use an optional Quick release system for an easier experience.

The PT-059 Housing is also available to purchase as part of a package with the camera, an AOI wide-angle wet lens and other accessories.

The Nauticam NA-TG7 housing is machined from Aluminium and waterproof to a depth of 100 meters. Access to all of the essential controls is ensured with large and well-labeled buttons and dials. A built-in bayonet system allows for the addition of Nauticam's premium wide-angle wet lenses and its quick removal when shooting macro. Standard 1/4-20" threads on the underside of the housing support a tray for better grip or to mount lights.
