Dive Maintenance
Always rinse the torch in fresh water after a diving session.
Do not leave the torch to dry in the sun. This helps in safeguarding the O-rings.
Do not store your torch while wet or even when slightly damp. Storing a wet dive torch increases the chance of corrosion. Always ensure it is dry before storage.
Whenever you open the torch to replace the batteries, it is paramount to remove the O-rings, inspect for any damage, and clean off excess grease.
Lightly grease the O-ring and replace it, ensuring no hair, dust, or grit is attached as these can break the seal.
Run a cotton swab into the groove where the O-ring sits to remove grit, sand, and excess grease.
DO NOT over-grease the O-rings. Excessive greasing makes it likely the torch will leak/flood.
Remove the batteries from the torch if you are storing it for a long period - batteries leak when left unused for long periods of time.
Magnetic Charging Care
For lights featuring magnetic charging use a cotton swab to cleam the magnetic charging port removing grit, sand and excess grease.
Ensure the magnetic port is completely dry before attaching the charging cable.
Recharging of the Li-ion battery
Before use charge the battery with the charger:
- Press the battery against the battery spring in the charger until it snaps in place
- Plug the cable in the connector of the 100-240V charger
- Plug the charger in a 100-240V socket
- The lamp on charger will now turn red, the battery is being charged, turns green color when it full charge.
- Turn the cap of the flashlight and slide the battery with the + sign facing forward into the cylinder: put the cap back and tighten
Torch Maintenance
- Do not attempt to modify or repair product. All repairs must be carried out by authorized personnel.
- Use correct batteries for the product. Never use alkaline / non-rechargeable batteries and rechargeable batteries together.
- Store batteries / rechargeable batteries out of the reach of children.
- Never expose batteries / rechargeable batteries to temperatures over 60° C (e.g. direct sunlight or to open fire).
- Do not short-circuit batteries / rechargeable batteries.
- Do not use new (alkaline) or fully charged batteries (NIMH / Li-ion) with partially used or discharged batteries.
- If the product is not being used for an extended period of time please remove the batteries from the device.
- Dispose of batteries according to national guidelines.
- Do not use cleaning agents that may damage the product and clean with soft cloth to avoid scratches. The screw threads and contacts should be cleaned periodically to avoid dirt build up which may affect the product's intended function. Clean O-rings and periodically apply lubricant.
