The beginings of a lightweight underwater setup

AOI UH-ACT-BLK Universal Underwater Housing for Action Cameras

One housing, multiple camera options. The AOI UH-ACT-BLK and UH-ACT-WHT are universal underwater housings built for action camera users who want serious dive capability, cross-brand compatibility, and room to expand with wet lenses. Designed around AOI’s modular adapter system, it gives you a secure fit for selected GoPro, DJI Osmo Action, and Insta360 Ace Pro models while keeping your setup compact, lightweight, and travel-friendly.

Rated to 60m / 196ft, the UH-ACT-BLK is made for far more than surface use and shallow snorkeling. It is an ideal choice for divers, travelers, and underwater content creators who want a durable housing that can keep pace as they upgrade cameras over time.

DJI	Osmo Action 6	ACT-AD-A6

Built for diving, not just splash protection

Unlike many of the available alternatives, AOI have designed the UH-ACT for real underwater use. Its 60m depth rating gives divers the confidence to shoot deeper reefs, walls, and wrecks with an action camera setup that stays compact and manageable. The O-ring sealing system is straightforward to inspect and maintain, helping make pre-dive prep simple and reliable. Most importantly the incorporation of the Quick release mount makes it easy to add accessory lenses.

Its high-grade polycarbonate body keeps weight down without giving up durability, making it especially attractive for traveling divers and creators building a lightweight kit.

Our Favourite Features

Wet Lens Compatabilty

Attach and remove wet lenses mid-dive

AOI's QRS-02 Quick release system is built onto the front port of the housing allowing for easy installation and removal of compatible wet lenses using a simple bayonet system. A selection of wide-angle and wet lenses are available which can be swapped over during a dive as required.

Secure Design

Rotary Latch with Lock

The Housings secure dsign includes a rotating latch with a lock to prevent acidental opening during the dive. The rotary latch is positioned over the mode button for most action cameras and a button is part of the design.

Ergonomic Shutter

Thoughtful Design

Most action camera housings have a simple shutter button on the top of the housing. The AOI Universal Housing has a lever design making it more ergonomically friendly creating a more familiar feel to using the housing underwater or with gloves. If you are using the housing on a tray you may want to get the Extended Shutter Release lever so that you can keep your hands by the tray whilst operating the camera which you can find here

Multiple Cameras

Wide-Ranging Camera Compatability

The AOI Universal Housing is compatible with a wide selection of action cameras from different manufacturers when used with the correct adapter.

Camera adapters are sold separately, so the housing can be configured for the camera you use now and reconfigured later if you upgrade.

Built to Expand

Standardised Mounting Points

1/4-20" Mounting threads built into the underside of the housing allow for standard Underwater Camera trays and accessories to be added to the Housing without requiring the addition of an Action camera mount adapter.

Optional Viewfinder: LCD Magnifier for AOI / OMS Compact Camera Housings

AOI UMG-05 90° LCD Viewfinder for AOI, OM & Olympus Housings

£109.00 GBP

AOI make a series of viewfinders which give you a better view of the camera's LCD or viewfinder.

If you are shooting Macro and Supermacro we highly recommend UMG-05 90° viewfinder which lets you get the camera housing nice and lowfor the perfect angle.

Expand your creative options with AOI Universal Action Camera Housing for GoPro/Insta/DJI?

The AOI Universal Housing includes their integrated QRS-02 Quick Release mount making the UH-ACT much more than a protective housing. You can easily mount and remove certain AOI wet lenses adapting your setup during the dive to suit the actual subjects you encounter rather than having to prepare for what you expect.

These wide-angle and macro accessories built around AOI's QRS-02 quick-release system, expand your ability to shoot reef scenes, big animals, and close-up subjects with a single action camera system on the same dive.
